There is a prequel to this story seen here:https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/general-discussion/41804-wait-thats-illegal. So let me tell you all the story of the Kraken and the weird boss fight. The party was staying in a port town, and they heard that ships were going missing. the party came to the logical conclusion it was a dragon. (FACEPALMS). the group set out on the open seas to find the "dragon" and kill it. I rolled to see if the "dragon" would appear. all signs point to yes. the water bubbled. The clouds turned dark. And the Kraken emerged! The party was surprised it was a Kraken. (FACEPALMS EVEN HARDER). I ran the boss fight in a unique way. There were 5 parts to the Kraken. Two clusters of tentacles. Two hands. And the central head. underwater the Kraken was one monster. Each body part I counted as a separate monster with AC, HP, movement speed and actions. only the central head had legendary actions. If the central head were to be destroyed, the other parts would be destroyed as well. the other parts took direct orders from the Kraken and had 0 intelligence because they where body parts. the parts couldn't move too far away from the Kraken. the party made a valiant effort, and slew the beast one part at a time! What do you think of the story? Leave opinions below! Cheers!
