Just curious as to what Warlock Patrons other DM's have made for their players?
I currently have a dhampir hexblade warlock in my campaign who doesn't know what his patron is. His patron is an ancient dragon that is also the first Vampire. Dragons in my setting where created by Prytus ( Lord of the Sun and King of the gods).
This dragon sided with the god Abaddon in his war against the heavens, in exchange for his loyalty he'd be granted power over all those that shared his bloodline (Dragons) as well as additional powers. Abaddon was defeated and Prytus banished the dragon and his followers from his sight. The dragon himself was imprisoned in the Shadow plane, however it had already shared it's blood with those loyal to it creating the curse of vampirism.
What remained of his blood was drained from his body and distilled into a number of ruby ruby like crystals. These crystals act as the key to his prison and are being hunted for by his followers. The warlock in my group has one of these crystals in a ring his father kept safe until his death.
His pact weapons are covered in dry blood, the more he gives into his bloodlust and feeds the blood on the blade turns tacky and will eventually start to run
