So, I was wondering about how to make jungle-tiki-shaman guy. I was thinking maybe warlock, druid or even sorcerer. Definitely need to be a caster. Any ideas please?

You can go several ways. Personally I'd go for Warlock because if you were to say your guy is from Chult, there is no real place for him to learn his craft since Mezro's fall. You could make the Pact of the Archfey since Chwinga's, local spirits, would be all to willing to make a deal. Sorcerer is also possible since your character could've come from a bloodline that were sorcerers of Mezro, or hell even a Barae (Super paladin) since all of them got laid and had kids at some point.
If you wanna go for the Voodoo Witch Doctor kinda vibe, i'd stick with necromancy and life spells. A good combo for this would be the Druid of the Spores path which mixes these two. Chill Touch cantrips, mend wounds, spore magic shield and even summoning the dead.

What kind of magic? Ritual based magic with chanting and veves drawn in blood? Prayer magic and mumbling archaic words from times gone by? Component heavy magic with 11 herbs and spices? Potion magic from a kind of perverse Perpetual Soup? Different Jungle Tiki Shaman have their own methods.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
You know, based on what EricHVela said about the whole component or potion based thing, believe it or not I think artificer (specifically alchemist) could work quite well for the whole potion thing, if you reflavoured it a bit and cross-classed it with warlock for the creepy stuff.

Smart idea!

I love the idea, but there is one problem: I don't have the Eberron stuff. It's sad, as I would definitely play a gnome alchemist. But I think that a gnome stars druid/goo warlock would work. Gnome for the minor illusion and speak with small animals, and to make it slightly funny. Thanks guys, and any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I think I may have solution! UA on wizards website, I found it. Is the ua for the artificer (most recent ones) the same as the current stuff? Because I think I heard about alchemist not having the humonculous. Anyway, just wanted to say. Thanks guys.
