When are we going to have more material about Feuren Gods and religions? Most of the information on them are spreaded and sparse being being mainly found in past editions. Even if not a full book on them, which would be very cool, at least a sourcebook going more in depth about religious organizations would be great.
imo, there wouldn't really be all that many changes. not much rebalancing needed for an omnipotent creature. its not like they need to change their hit dice and proficiencies. for stuff like that, prior edition docs are just as good as 5e imo. don't wait for a new one, use the old one.
It is important to understand that the lore of the setting doesn't disappear if it's not reprinted. Everything from past editions about Faerun is still there unless specifically changed.
Personally I can't recommend the 3rd edition Campaign Guide enough.
Interestingly enough, I am working on a character that was once a god but was betrayed and stripped of his power, now his one goal is to regain his lost power, and dole revenge to his betrayers, really cool idea but I’ve had to home brew a lot of mechanics, and class features to make it fit well.

Uhh... you have heard of the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, right? It has a whole section on religion and gods.
