I’m trying to identify a Twilight Domain Deity for a Nycter character. The only idea I can come up with is Selune but I’m not completely sold. I’d welcome any ideas.
Here is a description of the Nycter race for inspiration:
Nycters are cave-dwelling batfolk from 3.5e that strive to live peaceably and well.
Nycter culture and society revolve around the cave and the community. Nycters have a keen sense of duty to their group and do their utmost to contribute to it. Nycters prefer peace over war. If they encounter other creatures without being noticed in turn, they often choose to avoid them altogether. If confronted, they parlay and seek harmonious solutions. However, they fight fiercely to defend themselves or their territory.
Depending on what angle you wanna take with the character (and what deities exist in your campaign), you could also look at deities who deal with liminality/duality (since twilight is neither night nor day), or a deity that represents the peace-seeking or group-oriented nature’s of the Nycter themselves. If you want to try one of those routes, you could look at figures like Iris, Legba, or Breksta. If you’re trying to keep only with sourcebook-listed deities, you might look at Eldath, Helm, or Torm. Again though, it really depends on what your character’s priority and intentions are in choosing their deity. (I assume this is for a Cleric?)

Reading, Writing, Procrastinating, sometimes with clever snark and mythical creatures. Find me playing games at Quests & Chaos and Torpid Gaming Network, writing them at Itch, and yelling about them most other places.
All my info is at my Linktr.ee - hit me up to play, write, produce, or more!
Yes this is for a Twilight Cleric/Divination Wizard. I figure the batfolk must have their own small pantheon of Deities, perhaps, shared with other bat races like the Desmodu. The Cave Mother and The Wild Hunt would likely be the most revered. I’ve made this character with those deities in mind. As bats come out (and return) at Twilght the Batfolk God/Goddess of the Wildhunt seemed most appropriate for my Cleric. I like the bestial nature of Malar but he seems way to evil for a peaceful race.
I can also see a Nycter Twilight cleric filling the role of a psychopomp. The transition of light to dark, above ground to below ground, life to death. Maybe a neutral death god like Kelemvor or Jergal.
