I ask for help about implementing and interpreting this feature of the water genasi: "Most water genasi look as if they just finished bathing, with beads of moisture collecting on their skin and hair."
Does their clothes soak with moisture then? Does this mean that water genasi need much more protection from cold than the other races as they have wet skin and wear wet clothes?
These assumptions are logical, but this is a magical world and genasi are magical people, so I'm not sure. :)
Sorry if this has been discussed already, I could not find any information about this.
I would not say that it is anything about their clothes. More just their biology. They might 'sweat' or produce water from their skin, without necessarily being in water or a humid environment. They could wear dwarven made clothes, and it would still look slightly wet. Like you said: magic.

Water Genasi could thrive in cold environments as far as we know. After all, most damaging "water" spells deal cold damage, and frost and snow are as much part of the water motif as lakes and rivers. Like water itself, you could say that your character has a higher tolerance to extreme temperatures (within reason) and is actually quite comfortable in the cold. ('Cold never bothered you anyway'? Sorry, couldn't resist)
