Describe an item that your charachter would have given to an Inn as a memorabilia to gain access to it's VIP Lounge. Please also include your charachter name, the name, and a story about the item.
Long story
While working on some worldbuilding I stumbled across the idea of the Hard Rock Cafe for adventurers. An inn run by a couple of retired adventurers that is a safe heaven for non evil adventurers as well as a tourist attraction in the city it resides.
To gain acces to the VIP Lounge a charachter must part with a personal item (doesn't need to be magical) and tell the tale of how it was used or how it got to be in their possession. These items are displayed on plaques throughout the inn, with a little bit of extra information. The VIP Lounge is invite only and a charachter needs to be atleast 10th level to receive an invite and pay a 100 gp lifetime membership. Apart from the VIP Lounge members will also have access to free rooms. There is a whole are basement rooms as well is a hidden floor (2nd floor) with the most luxirious rooms that can be used (not for permanent living that option is also available but comes at a steeper price). Free drinks and food are availabe (within reason). This is ofcourse one of the best ways to come into contact with other adventurers and hear rumours, exchange information and what not.
Instead of coming up with all of these items myself, I thought it would be much easier to have people help me and hearing some cool stories of your adventures along the way. So please help me out by sharing what item you would part with for access to the VIP Lounge.
Example (Feel free to be as elaborate as you want with the story)
Item: A set of broken lockpicks (a golden feather is on the plaque beneath the lockpicks)
PC: Cirrus "The Red" Ardon (Heroes of the Golden Feather)
Story: Failed to open the back exit of a warehouse while trying to escape assassins. Two of the Golden Feathers nearly lost their lives in the resulting battle.
Darako 'Thirsting fang: romonotous (made up, no idea if anyone has made them. I just came up with the idea)
They are a black dragon bard, who often gets excited when battle approaches. Once, they were disarmed of their lute, and were outraged. They spat out a blob of acid, and though it killed the enemy, it also hit the lute. After finding a acid proof lute made of black dragon scales and bones, they decided to turn over the old lute.
How's that? Fun idea.

The armor of Heironach the martyr, with the holes still in the chestoplate (half plate statistics if players rob it).
Heironach was a locally famous adventurer who started his adventuring party in this very tavern. When a band of orcs (if other monsters work better, feel free to change it) threatend a nearby village, he had his 4 companions aid the evacuation as he tried to buy them some time by standing his ground in front of the massive army, trash talking the leader. After the orcs had pillaged, the townsfolk who had been successfully evacuated returned and found his body next to those of 3 orc warriors, orc arrows and an axe piercing his bloodstained armor. He was laid to rest near the tavern, and his party gave the armor for the display so they could get into the lounge.
NOTE: not a real character of mine, I just made this story up.
Item: A Warhammer. The hilt is green, the hammerhead white with red runes. The sound of jingling bells sounds when it's raised for battle.
PC; Hadgar Battlehammer, Dwarf Life cleric.
Story: When Santa Claus was kidnapped by Krampus, Hadgar and his companions set forth to save Christmas! After having freed Santa Claus and defeating Krampus, he was given a magic warhammer which he dubbed "The Yulebringer". It's a magic Warhammer +1 colourized like the three colours of Christmas (red, white and green) that jingles when used. This hammer has gone down the family line, first to his daughter Helga and now by his son-in-law Hadgar Greystone (who has taken his name) who plans to give it to his son Bhurin. When Hadgar the elder and Helga used it, the bells sounded truly like Carol of the bells. Chances are when Bhurin will use it, it will sound like it.
However with Hadgar Greystone, my Duergar Death Cleric it sounds more like this...
Item: A floppy purple mushroom from the feywild called Phosphodilus Exacerbilum. It stands erect at a mystery triggering event (like a voice hitting a certain pitch or coming in contact with the scent of melon ... or maybe upon witnessing a rhetoric question ... or something... I dunno, I haven't quite nailed it down yet, stupid feywild) and spurts a plume of hallucinogenic spores.
PC: Hjalmar Gunderson, plague doctor, artificer and alchemist.
Story: Successfully assisted in protecting the Moonlit King from an assassination attempt by the Queen of Night and Magic. He individually offered me the chance to choose an item from his favourite herbalist free of charge or favour(as he did each other member of the party, yet different offers). He asked me if I'd like anything else, but after a conversation with him earlier that day regarding his hatred of greedy people I politely said 'no thank you'.
Unfortunately, I came home to the Material Plane without the only tool that can harvest the toxins. So I've had enough of it going off at random times only to realise each time it has puffed it's happy gas that I, in fact, have not been discussing reverse engineering with a Nilbog for the previous hour after coming too. So. Many. Times.
Hjalmar Gunderson, Vuman Alchemist Plague Doctor in a HB Campaign, Post Netherese Invasion Cormyr (lvl20 retired) Godfrey, Autognome Butler in Ghosts of Saltmarsh into Spelljammer Grímr Skeggisson, Goliath Rune Knight in Rime of the Frostmaiden DM of two HB campaigns set in the same world.
Story: I'll tell you a tale of Lady Flaxom. Unfortunately, her story's a sad one. She was bitten one night. Yet, she survived the fight. But the next dawn she saw was her last one.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
I have a character I am playing, a Bard named Cadenza. He is planning to build his own Globe Theatre but it will be a Tavern and Inn in addition to a theatre. The first level in the front semi-circle will be a Tavern. The second level will be a restaurant with an opening allowing the diners to see the bard that is performing in the tavern.
Cadenza, in anticipation of building this monument to himself and the bard profession, is collecting items from all his party's encounters intending on displaying them in his tavern as objects of conversation and curiosity. He has stopped selling the "pieces of art" that his party collects and begun to take them as his share of the treasure, so he is beginning to develop quite a collection.
I don't recall all the items at this moment but I recall there is a fancy longsword with a jewel in the handle and some sort of fancy wine cork with gold filigree, each valued at 300gp or more. He also still has his original silvered rapier and short sword from his earliest days and a large number of jewels valued at over 500gp each. He intends to set these up with a brief description of how they were obtained. He also has a Minotaur's great axe, both ears and the tail, along with both horns. One of the party members wishes to give a horn to a Barbarian Chief we met as a demonstration of our ability as a party, but I may be able to keep both horns if I just keep quiet about it. Cadenza also plans to have a great map drawn up showing where he spent his time adventuring, and a few artists sketches of the cities he visited.
I'd share more details of Cadenza's Globe Theatre but I don't wish to hijack this thread.
In short, I have found that many of the small items we collect on our adventures would be worth more to me than the money I could get from selling them.

Just some idea:
A broken broom handle use as an impromptu stake to kill a vampire while visiting a brothel.
A wine jug given by a friendly oni, who was promptly killed when the hill giant she mocked proved less friendly.
The broken bow of flamboyant bowman Sarnius the Jolly Elf. That drow priestess just couldn't take a joke.
