A mighty and powerful Warlock is sent on a mission by his Order OF EEEEVIIIILLLL! *cough* to seize a Paladins relic from an ancient temple. He dispatches the Paladins and Clerics guarding it and makes his way into the temple to retrieve the artefact. Dekadus, or Dek for short, reaches the artefacts vault and upon grabbing it from its pedestal is struck with holy energy as the ancient Paladin relic binds to him. His body launching across the vault and into the wall. Upon waking up Dek hears faint voices but believes they must be hallucinations or perhaps he has a concussion. The ancient relic is a Radiant and Glowing Greataxe. On the journey back from the Temple Dek takes a detour through a hamlet and decides to have a rest and help himself to some food. He attempts to steal some bread and cheese from the market and as he leaves he feels a searing pain creep up his arm as Radiant fire starts to crawl up it. Dek skulks off to check what has happened, he can feel this odd feeling inside. Like.. Guilt? No couldn’t possibly be that it must just be hunger or something. Upon entering the Inn he attempts to force his will upon the Innkeeper and convinces them to give up a room for free for a nights rest and perhaps a bit of gold too and the voice in his head flares up tell him to be happy with a free nights rest. Freaked out by the voice in his head he stumbles backwards and falls over a stool and cracks his head. Unconscious. Again…
So it turns out the Paladins ancient weapon is in fact cursed, or rather, possessed by the soul of an ancient Paladin of light and it has bound its self to the Warlock. Being that it is not actually a curse the Warlock is unable to dispel the curse. Also Paladins being all holy and what not means being evil is kind of hard now and really annoying. I would much prefer not catching fire or getting yelled at by some Paladin from the Order of the OAPs. But here I am… This is going to be fun… *Sigh*
That is my concept. What do you guys think? :P
TLDR : Warlock steals ancient Paladin artefact and gets bound to it and a soul of a fallen Paladin. The Villainous Warlock is now stuck with a Holy and generally Lawful Good will and soul that effects the Warlocks actions. Bad guy forced to doing good. Evil magic mixed with light and a potentially funny and interesting bad guy turns good guy!
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

LOL I actually had a pretty similar idea a few years ago. An accomplished thief breaks into an ancient ruin and picks up a magical sword which was clasped in the lifeless hands of a long-dead paladin warrior. Upon picking it up, the skeleton comes to life, announcing "At last, my quest shall continue in new hands!" The moment she'd picked up the sword, she had accepted a soul-binding oath to defeat an ancient evil. The spirit of its previous (and current) wielder cannot rest until the task is complete. She spends all of her assets trying to get rid of it, but even when cast into the sea or banished to another plane, she turns around and finds the sword sheathed and propped expectantly in the corner of room. She returns it to the skeleton and begs he take it back, but he explains the situation. Knowing nothing of heroism, she takes the skull with her to be a mobile teacher and resigns herself to her new fate. Learning to be a hero instead of a thief will be difficult, but now she has a holy sword and a talking skull. What can go wrong?
