When you enter the tavern, several guards who have just left their shift are at a rectangular table seated by a fire and when they see you they start clapping. Besides, there are people from most of the town of Daggerfort eating. All the tables are occupied, except for a round table with 6 chairs that is next to a fireplace. The innkeeper, with plenty of meat and very voluminous with a mustache and eyebrow, approaches and says:
.- "They gave me this table yesterday, some very nice carpenters ... be careful not to scratch it, do not play the knife game on this table, eh? It is new" -. "What do you want to eat? Today I have everything ... and drink ... I even have Brandy from the Valley of Shadows ... very strong indeed" -. He points to a man who has just had a drink without breathing on a table next to you and falls unconscious to the floor.
* He gets up after a few seconds .- "Wooooh that passed Brandy" -.
When they have been at the table for a while eating something happens ...
The air gets cold. The fire in the fireplace sizzles as a low mist gathers around the tavern, the voices of the people are distorted. The mist thickens in the air, turning the inn into a cloud of mist and everything turns grayish. You can't get up, something holds you back as if you had sleep apnea.
Around you, there are no more tables, no tavern, although you are still sitting in the chairs around the round table. The fog clears somewhat, but its thickness does not make you see more than 30 feet, although you perceive that you are surrounded by trees. Behind you is a thicker, darker fog. The sun is barely shining, shrouded in clouds and fog. It looks like a strange sun without radiation, a cold sun.
(No matter which way they go, the characters come to a lonely dirt road that runs through the forest and leads to area A (see chapter 2). I hope you like it.
