I'm really into lore and stuff myself. I would explore the lore more myself, bit i'm yet to learn the rules of D&D. However, I do have an idea for a story that may involve lore.
If there are any DM's/GM's, whatever you call them, who would like to get a long term story together with specific ideas, feel free to reply to this, or personally message me. I'd like to work with someone to get a tense, adventurous, emotional journey together for D&D people to enjoy. Maybe even make it a YouTube Series as well.
I hope to hear from you soon! Happy Lore-ing! Veil
Well, you may be in luck. Like the majority of DMs trawling the story/lore forums, I have a liking for inventing world lore. I would be more than happy for another opportunity for my worldbuilding to actually get into a game of D&D.
Please note that I am not a professional at lore-making, just a hobbyist with a lot of experience. If you want the closest thing to an official expert on this site try Third_Sundering.
So in summary, this sounds like a fun thing for me to try. Thanks for the offer.
I've been crafting worlds for a few years now, and I'd be interested in getting involved with a project like this. Hopefully it'll turn out better than the last few collaborative worldbuilding projects I got involved with...

Right? I've had some promising ones over the years that have all fizzled out, sadly.
Such projects eventually die out, but every time I’ve worked on one has still resulted in some pretty cool stuff, a lot of which I use in my worlds to this day.

Well the last one I really got into with 6 other people I wrote almost 100 pages of information on my section of the world , they posted maybe 1 or 2 each then stopped posting.
I apologise for my lack of response, life has got a bit hectic as of late. I now see you have all responded, interested in my idea. Thank you for getting interested!
I shall message you all to see if your DM style fits my idea, as obviously we can't have 3 DM's working on this at one time. If this goes well, I shall probably do more with it.
Well, I most certainly disagree with that last sentence. The more minds working on a project, the better it normally turns out. In my experience, things go much better if multiple people are collaborating on a project, not just two.

Collaborating is good; interfering is not. I'm working on a Nordic themed adventure with influence from Frozen II. Trying to stop an evil prince who was working behind the scenes to gain control of the magic land and kingdom with 6 elemental crystals (fire, air, water, lightning, earth, and ice). Fittingly, all 6 PCs have some manner of minor elemental powers, having been born in that area.

Try having the entire group in deep dept and then have them explore the world to try and get more money and throw in sub plots as would suit the group.

I like Monks. They're fun.

Yeah... that tends to happen...
However, it's still nice, because it gets you encouraged to write stuff, something I've not been doing a lot of lately even though I really should.

This is my first such collaborative world-building experiment, but any excuse for my home-brew monsters to see play, right?

Er... hopefully, but it's been almost 24 hours now and the thread's creator still hasn't responded...
