Ri'valor once was a solder who took simple pleasurer in his work. He loved training for the art of it. He would sit on the castles wall and spend hours painting the land scape, he would be in the market listening to the stories of all the races or he would play chess against the old duke. Life was good until the duke passed and his daughter took the throne.

     Bandits were preying on the travelers and the new duke sent Ri'valor out to find them. They patrolled for days without success, until they were ambushed. Ri'valor took his squad and made a break out into the forest. The bandits chased them laughing at the sport of it. Ri'valor sent the fastest ahead of the squad as they retreated. The bandits fallowed up a rig line. Then Ri'valor shouted "Now!" as his men dived for cover. Logs cut for the purpose sped down the hill crushing the bandits. Ri'valor lead the charge down the hill and personally beheaded the bandit leader. And to the men who prepared the trap he promised them half of the reward for the bandits head.

     Presenting the head to the young duchess. He thought he would be reworded, but it turns out the bandit was her idiot lover. In grief she ordered their arrest. They spent three days in the dungeon until the families old maid slipped them the key and they made their escape.
