He was expelled from his community, so he wandered in the wilderness. He found shelter in an elven village, though he never revealed exactly why he was expelled from his village. He took up sword training to escape his past, and was a natural at it. He took up adventuring and met up with (insert names of party here)

Have you considered becoming an eldritch knight instead of multi-classing or taking the Magic Initiate feat instead at 4th level?
You could ask your DM if you could use Charisma as your caster stat instead of Intelligence that an eldritch knight would normally use thus you're more of a sorceror than a wizard?

yes, but I have some issues with it. it has abjuration and evocation ONLY, and I would like to be able to I am planning in later levels to focus ENTIRELY on sorcerer, because I am a spellcaster at heart.
Maybe ask your dm if they can roll for wild magic events as a result of your impending career change?
Maybe this leads to your character seeking help to curb these events after all talents without training is not a good idea if these wild magic events start up again?
