I haven't read many Realms novels since 3.5e era, so a lot of what I know of recent canon history is based on game books and specific entries on the FR wiki. So, I've been wondering about Jarlaxle. From what I can tell he's the secret boss of the 5 Ships of Luskan. Or at least, 1 of them? And he's not exactly running Bregan Daerth these days, but it's still "his?" And (depending on how your table ran Dragon Heist) he may or may not have earned some favor with Laeral Silverhand to try and maneuver Luskan into the Lords' Alliance.
Oh, and he has a submarine now.
What do YOU think the most flamboyant of Drow is working towards these days, and how?
Would he still be working to secure Luskan a seat at the Lords' table? Or would he be off on a whole new lark by now?

Last I read he helped reunite Zak and Drizzt in Longsaddle. He's become quite the hero.
I believe those novels were all set a few years before Dragon Heist. Although, the modern timeline is definitely getting hard to follow.
