I am currently playing a homebrew Wildmount campaign and I am playing a Blood Hunter/ Fighter Mulitclass. I'm at the point where I need some character development and I have discussed with my DM developing a Renown system for Blood Hunters. Is anyone who is a little more familiar with Wildmount/ Blood Hunters up to brain storm?
You should be able to handle it similar to FR factions, The Claret Orders are a faction/org as well.
In my personal campaign the Claret Orders are organized according to their main foes (Ghosts/undead, lycanthropes, fiends, and 'other'), plus an additional order that is also the third branch of the Raven Queens faith.
A typical Claret Order 'cell' is one of each Bloodhunter subclass, with a Blood cleric in overall command, plus support staff of Raven Queen worshippers to fill in any holes in their skillsets (Rangers, Rogues, Fighters, etc). In practice, there is rarely one of each subclass, and often only a single Bloodhunter, with a Blood cleric, and support staff that may or may not be devout. As often as both they are only in it for money, or because the bloodhunter or cleric are friends or family.
To give a further example, my current party is nominally part of the Claret Order, specifically the Order of the Crimson Shadow, the "internal investigations" arm of the Claret Orders. Seems several of the more promising member have been turning up missing or dead. A Blood cleric, and Lycan bloodhunter were sent, along with a warlock who had been trained by a profane soul bloodhunter. For their support, they ended up getting several member of a similar arm of the Order of Bahamut (a monk, and a paladin) as well as a few members of a "good" assassin's guild (think "you have been judged and found wanting" they got a Ranger and a Rogue/Assassin).
