So me and my group are getting relatively close to finishing up out of the abyss which mean I’m knee deep in preparation for our next campaign. We are going to run a campaign in strixhaven: college of magic. Which we will be streaming as we always do. The idea is that each character excluding a pair of twins that are from the same school will be from a different college within strixhaven. I am looking for something that makes sense in the world or maybe even a setting adjustment as to why they would be having the colleges all working together. 

Have it so your world is ran by a mageocracy and that each college has a representative on a council and that something is happening that has forced the colleges to work together, or you  can have it that colleges lean on each other for specific resources. Lorehold may help find rare components for the other schools as they explore ancient ruins for example.

Love this idea, the characters will still be students in each school so possibly a school council type of thing? But great example they will need to rely on one another’s school. 

Yeah, I would try to set it up so that each school relied on the others for their area of expertise. Each school seems to have their specialty so it wouldn't surprise me if they helped each other out on projects.
