I have been researching WotC's, Fan Content policy and general community use policies, as well as the recent involvement of the Creative Commons. I haven't been able to get a clear understanding of what I am permitted to do, as it pertains to displaying a picture from a D&D sourcebook in my video. Prior to e-mailing WotC, I thought someone here might know the answer to my question.
I am making a product review YouTube video, in which I make a reference to the way a creature is depicted in the 5e Monster Manual. I would like to show a quick picture of the artwork, but I am uncertain if this would be in compliance with WotC's current policies?
