The Lore of Vesilia (Veh-sil-e-uh) - map/names still a work in progress
The oldest rumors, considered lore about the world of Vesilia, tell of a time when Dragons were the lone inhabitants roaming the sky, the sea, and the earth – or so they thought.
Primordial beasts that dwarfed even the largest dragons, had long been dormant, the earth appearing to have formed overtop of them as they slumbered.
With a sudden and cataclysmic upheaval, they burst forth from their ancient tombs within the earth, rending Vesilia, once a solitary landmass, into the five distinct continents we now recognize. These colossal beings, now dubbed the Monarchs, appeared to harbor no motive beyond chaos, their rampage tearing through the very fabric of Vesilia itself.
Their movements leaving trenches, their assault bending and breaking the earth, the impacts still seen today in the form of unnatural mountain ranges, lakes, and coast lines.
Witnessing their home be torn and broken by these new and massive beasts, the Dragons fought back. Despite their overwhelming numbers, the battle against the Monarchs was fiercely contested, every clash a struggle for supremacy.
It was a conflict of titans, each blow echoing across the ravaged landscape, until the final breath of Bharrox, the last Monarch left standing, rumbled like thunder, reverberating from its chest one last time.
Amidst the chaos, thousands of Dragons lay fallen, their once mighty ranks decimated, while countless others bore scars of battle that would endure for ages to come.
Shortly after, the humanoids began to appear across Vesilia. The Dragons in their weakened state and with the fresh knowledge of what war brings, they chose to live in harmony with the newcomers.
The Dragons became more isolated as time went on and the weight of their losses grew, spreading out across Vesilia and living amongst the many races now populating its continents. From the soaring peaks of the Mountains of Division to the dense canopies of the Greenleaf forest, Dragons made their homes in the many biomes of the land.
Main races: Dragonborn, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Kobolds, Goblins.
Vrakthir once served as the main hub of Vesilia. People traveled from all over the world to exchange a variety of goods, learn from the brightest minds, experience the most powerful magic, and train with the strongest warriors who traveled in from Jornd, the northern neighbor of Vrakthir. It was unmatched in nearly all ways when compared to the rest of Vesilia.
Those days are long gone, as Vrakthir is now a war-torn, scorched earth place, as kingdoms battle behind the two Dragon factions who were brought to conflict over the prophecy of an artifact named the Astral Nexus.
1 - The Astral Conclave:
This faction believes in harnessing the power of an artifact known as the Astral Nexus created by the prophecy to unlock unprecedented magical potential for all beings involved. They believe it’s necessary to defeat an impending evil.
2 - The Equilibrium Accord:
This faction opposes the idea of harnessing the Astral Nexus created by the prophecy, believing that meddling with such cosmic forces will lead to the destruction of the world.
Supporting their Dragons, Dragonborn are thought to only live on Vrakthir. Dragons themselves are mostly in Vrakthir as part of the battle. Some have left, seeking their own profits or peace while mostly attempting to stay hidden.

That was, until the prophecy…
