So last night, in the campaign I am a player in, my party found the deck of many things. We pulled some cards. I got 'the knight', giving me a lvl 4 fighter who will serve me. I made them also pull a card, they pulled 'the moon'. This gives them the ability to cast wish 1d3 amount of times.
The thing is that the DM did tell us they pulled 'the moon' but didn't wanna describe what it does. I know the deck of many things, but didn't wanna meta game so I didn't mention it.
How do I find a way to use this ability to cast wish, without outright meta gaming the situation.
I feel like I wanna use this asset but also don't wanna force it on my DM.
It is the knight that has the power if the knight is a DM controlled NPC then unless your PC knows what the moon card means they do not know the knight has the power of casting wish and you should control you PC on the basis of that.
If you are controlling the knight (like a side kick)then as the knight can cast wish you as the player should also have that knowledge. It is also possible that the DM is expecting it to be "shared" control you might control what he does in combat as he obeys your orders but while he is loyal to death he is also a thinking independent character and the DM might want ot play this.
Talk to your DM about it tell him you the player are aware what the moon card means and ask their advice how to handle it.
There are many cards in the DOMT which are campaign ending or at least have the potential to end the campaign especially at low and mid levels and moon is one of them. Getting wish at level 17 is bad enough at lower levels where fly and fireball are considered powerful spells it is on another level. If your DM is doing things to keep the campaign going give them a bit of slack.

Any tips or advice would be great, thank you.
Who is controlling the knight?

Do not worry about The Moon. If the DM decided not to tell you, then most likely he already has plans for the Wishes.
