I am playing a level 5 drow gloomstalker ranger archer with the elven accuracy feat. The party is a copper dragonborn rogue scout sniper who has a jojo-esq stand, a warforged arcane archer who uses revolvers and can make items sentient ala a character from one piece, and a reborn barbarian who can make lag and uses a sword.
My abilities are to redirect light(at will), temporarily remove or restore senses(at will), boost perception or stealth(proficiency bonus times per day), manipulate emotions, and i have all illusion spells in my spells known, including minor illusion. I also have telekinesis from an item called the eye of control, but the dm has not finished making its stats.
I want help to feel on par with the other characters, using my abilities creatively, especially in combat.
What’s the range on these? Do they take an action or what? Because the obvious one to me, with an at will remove senses, is to go around blinding people. Same with redirecting light, create an area of darkness , stand in it, pop out to shoot the bad guys, then back in.
Range scales on how much health I am missing, but I am also already invisible all the time, being a gloomstalker, as most of the campaign is in darkness. And all of the abilities take an action
Can you take 2 levels of fighter? Blind sence as fighting style and grad Crossbox expert. Utilize the ability to make it pitch black so you are invissible to darkvission. Basically doubling your attacks in the dark using blind sence from 10 feet away with a hand crossbow.

I can take two levels in fighter but that won’t give me crossbow expert, not until level 9, but I have been using a longbow, if I switch weapons it will be to a rifle, not a crossbow.
Does a "sense of trust" or a "Sense of right and wrong" count? With removing senses temporarily, there's a lot of room for shenanigans. Temporarily remove someone's sense of balance for them to automatically go prone, no check required. Temporarily remove a sense of duty/honor and you can convince even the most upstanding person to be evil, or vice versa with temporarily giving someone a sense of duty.
Heck you could just keep "temporarily" giving an enemy a sense of loyalty to you and have a free thrall.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?

Dm said no, but actually yes. I can with emotional manipulation
I got even more that i still want help using, the ability to hide or reveal weakspots that can add/remove resistances and vulnerabilities and I got my aunt’s eye that gave me telekinesis, with the ability to cast mage hand and prestidigitation invisibly and without components, immunity to being prone or moved against my will, the ability to deal some damage and reduce enemy speed as a bonus action or reaction, telekinesis at will, adding an extra damage die to my ranged attacks, can cast a debuffed shield spell at will, and extra abilities that give me debuffs but are even more powerful.
'course I'm older, and fairly new to the 5E system, but your character seems quite Over Powered for the level described. If your character balances well with the other PCs, and the DMs world, then cool, good for you. I'll leave y'all in peace, with a heartfelt WOW!
Have fun with it; I can offer you no helpful hints.
Double WOW! If your DM can keep it fun and interesting for everyone, over the next 10-15 levels, then more power to 'em. I DMed for over 20 years, over 20 years ago, and I'll freely admit that these days I would feel overtaxed, when managing a party with such power. The required study time alone frightens me away from taking on such a task.
Yeah, I have no idea how he can handle our chaos. Also, couple sessions ago we won against a cr 19 enemy, and he's planning to start pulling even bigger guns on us
The DM revised one ability to make it so I can only cast telekinesis if I strain it, but it gives so much strain I probably won't use it, but gives levitate at will, no concentration.
Edit: DM also gave me a bunch of arrows that allow me to apply these abilities at range. 40 to be exact, but I already used one, so 39

With the ability to manipulate light at will, you could effectively be invisible all the time unless you didn't want to be.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

edit: telekinesis is a bonus action

Also, dm rules that as advantage on stealth
