I just started a new campaign and decided to play Aberrant Mind. I am looking for solid options for building it as I go. The first level build is locked in.
Race - Changeling
Ability Scores STR - 10, Dex - 13+1, Con - 14, Int - 13, Wis - 13, Cha - 14+2
Background - Urban Bounty Hunter
Skills - Perception, Persuasion, Insight, Stealth, Intimidation, and Deception
Tools - Thieves’ Tools and Dice Set
All optional features
Cantrips - Chill Touch, Light, Mending, Minor Illusion, Mind Sliver
Are you using the Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse version of the Changeling? Its creature type is fey, so it's immune to a lot of spells that specifically target humanoids. The Eberron version is good too.
For background, are the Strixhaven background options available? If so, then for the loss of Thieves Tools, you could get Guidance and Cure Wounds on your sorcerer (Quandrix Student).
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

Be sure to learn silvery barbs through your psionic spells feature so at level 6 you can cast it for only a single SP.
