So I was reading through Animate Objects and had the thought that it would potentially be a really solid means of disarming crowds. Up to 10 hostile creatures (or less if they're wielding multiple weapons) could theoretically become instantly a non-factor without weapons, same with casters who use spell foci. I guess what I'm asking is, am I reading this correctly and has anyone ever tried this?
As Voras said, this is simply illegal. Animate Objects is an incredibly good spell, but you'll want a bag of copper coins, ball bearings, caltrops, or the like to ensure you always have 10 unattended objects available.
