Character A is who we shall dub the Ace. They put 2 lvls into moon druid and 2 into rogue for cunning action. They wildshape into a warhorse, size large. Character B casts Enlarge on them. They are now HugeHorse. They can carry 1080 lbs and theoretically the party can fit on their back. No platemail please. Because they cast longstrider on themselves that morning, HugeHorse can now move, dash, and cunning action dash at 210 feet per round. The rest of the party will be speccing into ranged combat, because they tear around on a giant horse at 210. At lvl 5, someone in the party should have fly (and feather fall). This means HugeHorse now does the exact same thing but flying.
As to the Chardalyn Dragon from Frostmaiden: when dashing it moves at 180. This means in theory if the party was rehearsed at HugeHorse they could be airborne 1 round after seeing the dragon take off and theoretically chase it down before their 10 rounds are up. It gets easier if they come in flying because that's not a bad way to attack a castle on a mountain. If everybody in the party has magic missile they can try lvl 3 magic missiles for 17.5 dpr to try to take the dragon down with eight shots. If you cast Aid on HugeHorse you might be able to do it.
Just noticed the Chardalyn is Huge - this means a warlock with enhanced pact weapon and eldritch smite can prone it with no save on a longbow hit. That's a 20d6 fall altho it gets resistance. Standing from prone also burns half your move.
