I'm trying to think of the best way to build the character Sophie Neuenmuller from the Atelier series (Atelier Sophie and the mysterious book)
i'm going to be joining in a friends game and want to try playing a character that feels like a character from the Atelier games and since Sophie is my
personal favorite in the series i want to try making her
the party is currently level 8 and going to be going up to 16+ so i'm thinking 6 artificer 2 wizard to start with the nextlevel going Artificer then 4 leveling going into wizard for more spell slots and manifest mind as Sophie has a flying talking book that teaches her alchemy (going 7 artificer for flash of genius)
but i'm not sure where to take the build from there should i take more wizard levels for the extra spell slots or more artificer for
Restorative Reagents, another Artificer Infusion and Magic Item Adept (currently we are unsure if the campaign will go on past level 16 so i want to plan
to at least level 16
PS i'm not really trying to build the "best Optimal" build , im more going for a thematic Alchemist From the series
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Alchemist Artificers don't get to craft magic items all that much and your Experimental Elixir feature doesn't get more powerful as you level up. If you want to mostly do healing, stick with the Alchemist. If you want more powerful spells and effects (not just dealing extra damage), then go with Wizard.
