The clone is of the creature you True Polymorphed into, not you, so your soul cannot enter the clone only the soul of the creature you True Polymorphed into. So you just die. For an even more clear example consider if you used Magic Jar to possess another creature, created a clone of that body while you were possessing it, then killed yourself. Obviously your soul would not take possession of the cloned body, the soul of the creature you possessed would take control of it. Same thing for True Polymorph.
My ruling would be that casting Clone form an inert duplicate of the creature inside the vessel, physically identical to the original true form and not the creature it temporarly True Polymorph into.

2 cut off the part
3 put said part in coffin
4 cast clone
5 wait till your new body is mature
