(Warning - Spoiler for a late-game boss in Silksong.)
So I’ve been trying to figure out a build for Skarrsinger Karmelita. For those of you who don’t know, she is an ant hunter/queen who uses weapons made of bone and her singing can slow charming/haunting effects. What class/race would you use for her? Any first or third-party content accepted.
I haven't gotten to the fight against her yet, as I'm still working on trying to beat Seth, the Shrine Guardian, but I think it's safe to say that playing as a Thri-Kreen would work, as Thri-Kreen are literally bugs. I agree that College of Valor seems to be a fitting choice for Karmelita, but you might have to homebrew her Curvesickle weapons. At least I'm pretty sure she uses Curvesickles in the fight. I don't know if she uses some sort of special variation of them.
Anyway...
If College of Valor doesn't work, maybe play as a Swashbuckler Rogue instead, or maybe an Eldritch Knight Fighter. Swashbucklers are combat focused Rogues and Eldritch Knights use magic.

Warlock
Harengon Swords Bard.
Thri-Kreen Bladesinger
She uses weapons and music to affect her enemies....sounds like a Sword/Valor Bard to me. I second Thri-Kreen as the obvious species choice.
