Since I just saw about Sidekicks. I want to find a creature that would have good stats that I could send out to find supplies to use (Armoror Artificer). I love my tools and think I'm at 10 different proficiency so I like to try and make many, many things
I mean, if you're looking for best stats then this definitely isn't it, but my vote would go to the kobold inventor because I love them, plus RP-wise I feel like they'd make a great sidekick for an Artificer. You could discuss with your DM the possibility of gaining a couple of skill proficiencies to make it more useful.

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
