Has anyone tried to recreate their current 5E characters using the released Unearthed Arcana? IF so. How do they compare? Are you happy with them. DO they still fit your concept of the character or mechanic of the character?

I haven’t actually made a UA version of my character (16th level Land Druid) but I think the UA version would be better.
Generally I am very happy. My Pirate Half-Sea-Elf Druid is a clear improvement especially with the new half species rules. Also the new magic initiate will allow me to skip an arcana cleric dip for shocking grasp and ray of frost.
My goto cha caster character (sometimes they are a a bard, sorc or warlock or everything in between) is kinda meh due to simply not knowing how warlocks and sorcs turn out. Under the at first playtested rules I was very happy being able to finally choose int instead of charisma for warlock. Oh well.
My Shadar-Kai Whispers bard will also survive 1 to 1 into the new edition. First level feat really rounds up the character.
In general I feel like multiclass characters will be hit the most. Especially anything that had Warlock in it. Though I am waited with baited breath with what they present for warlock as now I believe its either commit to the class or leave it by the wayside.

Have to wait for the next UA to see the Eldritch Knight.

I tried to make my Hexblade Warlock with the UA rules, then binned it.
It just doesn't work like a Warlock.
