I know its an unconventional multiclass but ive always made the character first then the class, anyways, would a warforged artificer blood hunter multiclass be viable? Idk what subclass of bloodhunter hed be but hes definitely gonna be an alchemist artificer, make my strength and intelligence my two highest stats, followed by con then dex then wis then charisma, does this seem viable? If so, what blood hunter subclass would you go for?
With the little information given, all I can give you is to use the Order of the Mutant archetype since thats the only Bloodhunter subclass that deals with alchemy directly.
Making potions for your allies and mutagen formulas for yourself. Maybe pick the Curse of Fending Rite to emphasize support.
Dont forget that Crimson Rite damage can also be used with ranged weapons, so a crossbow with the new infusion is a legitimate option.
I would speak to your GM about this, specifically regarding Blood Hunters and Warforged. Some would be okay, but some might interpret the Blood Hunter's surrendering of their own vitality and blood magic to not work with a Warforged and their lack of actual blood.
There is nothing that says a Warforged can not be a Blood Hunter, but there is enough within the flavor that would have a GM say Warforged can't utilize Blood Magic.
I always think of Star War droids when I think of Warforged, so I would think that they have oil or some other mechanical liquid qualifying as their blood source.
There's nothing stating the Warforged couldn't have actual blood running through their bodies. You could be a sort of Synthetic Warforged a small set of warforged grown from human/gnome/elf flesh. Sort of the Flesh golem (Frankenstein's monster) of the Warforged world.
Going Blood Hunter / Artificer could be some cool throwback to your creator that you require to work on yourself to stay alive. Using Alchemy and Herbalism as your spellcasting focus...
