I am about to start a campaign as a Teifling Hexblade at level 3 and want to make him as strong as possable! While I am aware that a PAMlock half drow is just straight up better I want to hit all the thematic notes im looking for.
My starting stats are 17 Cha (19 with my racial), 17 Con (18 with tasha racial), 14 Dex (for med armor), 13 Str, 13 Int, 11 Wis (Not very wise to accept terms with shadowy death sword that wants your soul. :) )
Equiptment: I rolled for gold so I am starting with a longsword + scale mail + componet pouch + explorers pack + a ton of random items that might be usefull like string, a mirror and bottles.
Spells: (I am 3rd level starting) Cantrips: Eldritch blast + Presididitation + Thalmaturgy (teifling trait) First Level: Hex + Armor of Agathys + Hellish Rebuke (teifling trait) Seccond Level: Darkness + Hold Person
Invocations: Devils Sight + Improved Pact Weapon
Is there better options for what I have now? (besides using big weapons and swaping race) Also what feats should I take later on?
If you wanted Constitution then I am a fan of the Levistus Tiefling which gets you. Armor of Agathys as a 2nd level means walking into fights with 10 bonus HP, and ray of frost is nice to mix up the damage types and has a debuff.
Ability Score Increase
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.
Legacy of Stygia
You know the ray of frost cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the armor of Agathys spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Infernal Constitution to grab poison and cold resistance (and +1 Con). Added to the already fire resistant tiefling base and you have quite a bit of defense added. Its also fun to grab racial feats and be all the Tiefling you can be.
Fey Touched to grab +1 Cha and Hex/Misty Step. This helps you escape from places you don't want to be, and means you have another encounter a day you can Hex during which allows you actually cast other spells and LEARN another spell. If you don't go with Hex, then I highly recommend bless.
Others to consider: Healer. Just a giant bucket of healing. I have a rogue with it and its super fun to play against type with this, and the cleric/druid will appreciate not having to healbot. Resilient Constitution/Warcaster. I prefer resilient Con, but its good to boost your concentration saves.

Any Idea for Feats to take?
My current Tiefling has

If you are going with Pact of the Blade, then I would recommend this:
For Melee: the PAM or GWM feats and maybe get agonizing blast invocation (if you want to do some ranged damage).
For Ranged: Hand crossbows/Heavy Crossbows and Crossbow Expert Feat.
