My player started as a very squishy but magically powerful Aberrant Mind Sorceress. She now wants to multiclass for just 1-2 levels into Hexblade Warlock to get rid of her squishiness. xD
What weapon should I introduce for a female, soft spoken, ranged spell attacking sorceress? I'm just looking for inspiration that would work well for this combo and suit her character best.
Well, she will still be pretty squishy, but I think I understand the effect you are going for. I'd recommend half plate, mithral if you can get it, and a Longsword, Moon Touched if possible. That will give you the unworldly look you might be after. She can use the Longsword two handed and still be able have a hand free when necessary for spell casting. You want to be careful about equipping a shield and weapon, as that will not leave a hand free for somatic and material components, although you wouldn't need to worry about that when you using your Psionic Sorcery feature. You can mostly over come this restriction, at the cost of an atunement slot, with a Ruby of the War Mage, although that only covers M and M-and-S spells, but not S-but-not-M spells like Shield, Absorb Elements and Counterspell, although Subtle Spell can save you there.
If all you are interested in is AC, you can forgo any weapon at all and just go with medium armour and shield.
Mechanically, there's really no difference. She'll probably have a shield in one hand and an implement/spellpouch for the other. Rapier's the best 1hander mechanically.
For my spellcasters that carry a martial weapon (I refuse to use shields on my casters, feels wrong), I tend to view it as a weapon that the character would use defensively. I feel like a curved blade like a scimitar fits the bill best. It's got enough blade mass to parry a heavier weapon, and the curves allow it to block odd lines of attack. The curve also helps with edge alignment for slashes when used offensively (I do like to take booming blade for when things get in my face to help encourage them to "not follow" when I depart close combat. Do any of those things mean anything in D&D? No, but I know about them, and that translates into my own mental imagery.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
As the player levels it gets more powerful. For example it could be a Defender weapon that adds to AC and bonuses increase with levels. Or, it casts Blur or Shield x/day, etc.
Aberrant Mind calls up images of things with tentacles. So, how about a whip? A whip is a Finesse weapon so you can use your DEX modifier and it is a Ranged weapon and it does have a tentacle-like attack.

Work with your player to create a unique magic weapon that has defensive properties.

Maybe it has vampiric regeneration but at a cost?
Lots of fun rp possibilities.
