Hi! So I’m currently starting a one shot as a level 13 Hexblade warlock, I noticed any weapon can be your soft weapon and was talking about how I was excited to use a great sword but my DM said because I don’t meet any of the strength requirements I still wouldn’t be able to use it despite Pact of the Blade making me proficient in what I conjure. Is that true? Do I still need to meet the prerequisites for the weapon to use it? If so I need to change some stats, thank you!
Proficiency, and not being small or tiny, are the only prerequisites which need to be met to enable a character use of a weapon with the heavy/two-handed properties. Pact of the Blade and Hexblade allow proficiency with the greatsword through their features, so yes you get to use the greatsword as your pact weapon.

Sorry for the spelling errors! My phones currently breaking!
