i, like many, am missing the 2014 invocations that didn't make it into 2024's phb, especially as many of them were favourites of mine. however, many of those invocations were made available in xgte and tasha's, specifically Aspect of the Moon Cloak of the Flies Far Scribe Ghostly Gaze Gift of the Everliving Ones Grasp of Hadar Improved pact weapon Lance of Lethargy Maddening Hex Relentless Hex Shroud of Shadows Tomb of Levistus Tricksters Escape & Undying Servitude, as well as all of the Pact of the Talisman stuff from Tashas.
as the 2024 classes were supposed to be backwards compatible to the earlier books, we should be able to still use this invocations, right? but unless we add them all manually theres no way to add those to a 2024 warlock on dndbeyond. this feels like a very difficult and frankly disingenuous way of maintaining "backwards compatibility" and honestly, why the hell would i switch to 2024 rules if half the good invocations are just gone??
dndbeyond and wotc in general has gone down the toilet...
Yeah, stuffing various Homebrew Rules, along with "Free SRD Rules", along with 2014 PHB rules, along with Tasha's Cauldron rules, along with Xanathar's Guide rules, along with Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide rules, along with 2024 PHB rules, along with Eberron rules, along with even more stuff to come, under the same user interface, is almost a sure fire recipe for confusion and disaster. I tied to avoid such a situation during my 35 odd years in software development. If the Wizards team can pull it off, more power and praise to them. If not,.........well...
