I am currently playing a 3rd level Celestial Tomelock. Race is Aasimar. My Stats are: Str 10, dex 14, con 13, int 12, wis 9, and cha 17. I thought about staying Warlock until lvl 5, and take the ASI to increase CHA and CON. I want to multi class into rogue(Because that seems cool to me!). So, what do you think? Would that be fun? How many levels should I put into rogue and how many into Warlock? Which rogue subclass? How viable is this idea?
What are you looking to gain by taking a level of Rogue? Your DEX doesn't lead to it being an optimal mutliclass build. A warlock can actually mimic quite a bit of the rogue functions on its own.
Actually, I find that Rogue and Warlock can indeed find some intresting sinergy.
The main bonus is in my opinion the fact that after an Hide action (done with Cunning Action) you can shoot your blast obtaining advantage without any use of the Darkness \devilìs Sight combo. This allow you to benefit from the Hex spell, wich in a long combat can really be useful granting an extra d6 for every ray shoot.
Even more, with Expertise you can complete the natural propension of the warlock towards a Face role in the party, even better when using Actor and Mask of Thousand Faces.
the only problem I see in all of this is that you will never really have any utility for the Rogue's Sneak Attack and, while you will stil have a decent output of damage thanks to the Blast, this is still a shame. With a Blade Pact you could do a range oriented build, but otherwise I would suggest to take two levels only in the Rogue class.

Thanks! This is very helpful :-). Yeah, the pact doesn’t really fit this concept, but maybe I can persuade my DM to let me change it. Shouldn’t be too difficult to fit in the narrative 👍
It's a pleasure! Actually you could also think about a Chain pact: thanks to the Everliving Invocation you can max out your healing and the imp (that can be a celestial Imp by rules...like a mini angel) can help you in various field (mostly using the help action for attacks, granting sneak damages, and skill rolls).

they're already level 3, and thus already have chosen the pact of the tome.

That's also a nice Idea, but a bit more difficult to fit in narratively. I will think about it! One last question: If I am going for the Bladelock-Rogue, I should probably take the ASI on lvl 4 to get 16 dex. Right?
@ Milestogo_24 Well, that's true, but G3ralt mentioned that is possible that his master could let him change the pact. And after all he would still be able to change the Pact Boon with Eldritch Versatility at Warlock four.

@ Geralt yeah, this would be a really god idea
Rogue flavor doesn't have to conflict with the celestial narrative you've got going on, spies are rogues too. You could be a Secret Angel Man!
