I took High Half-Elf hexblade (level 4, polearm mastery) and opted for the additional Cantrip. The option I took was True Strike, but I have since found out it is a higher level Cantrip and it is does not appear in my DnD Beyond character sheet.
Have I broken the system or will it simply not be available to me until I reach the required level? If so, seems a bit strange that the option is even available...
Do you own the scag? All cantrips are level 0; there's no such thing as a higher level cantrip.
That said, I would beg you to reconsider taking true strike, it's a bad, bad spell. It takes your action, so you can't attack that round. Because you didn't attack, you don't get your bonus action attack from PAM. You'll have advantage on your next attack (but not the followup). So, on round 2, you'll roll 2 20s to try and hit. That's the same two 20s you would have rolled had you /not/ cast it, except you'll actually have fewer chances to do damage, not to mention giving up the bonus action attack on round 1 as well.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

I'm quite new to D&D, didn't think of that! I guess what I meant was taking the Cantrip at a later level.
Now that you mention the mechanics of True Strike, I guess it wouldn't be smart to take it...
