So, I've got it in my mind to have my Archfey Tomelock take 3 levels in Druid / circle of dreams. I won't go too deep into the reasons, but it fits thematically - and we've need of a healer. He's level 7 now, I'll do this after 8th.
So I'm curious, as this is my first warlock, what other people have done with multiclassing and why? What's the RP reasons, other than maxxing power? I'm not saying getting stronger isn't important, but I'm curious as to why you all did what you did.
I have a Fiendlock with 2 levels of Divination Wizard. His patron is a Coven of Hags that are based on Prophecy rather than Corruption. The coven is loosely based on the Daughters of Sora Kell. The features of the Fiend (Dark One's Blessings and Dark One's Own Luck) combined with Portent, Sight invocations, and Divination Rituals (Tome) make for a coherent and witchy concept.
Of course, Portent is a pretty powerful feature, so there's a bit maxxing involved.
