My new character (currently level 2) is a 16 year old shrine maiden for a sleepy village. The shrine is dedicated to life and nature -- and overseen by the Fey, specifically Titania. Due to my backstory, my character is a warlock. Given my backstory, my age and my disposition. I would prefer for my character to not harm anyone, and certainly not kill (unless she is pushed to the edge).
So the advice I need is : what cantrips and spells should I take to be helpful in combat, while not doing harm.
For reference, there are six other members of our party, who are all damage orientated.
Probably friends as well, you can use that to give you advantage on persuasion to stand down, submit to be tied up, or to run away. By the time it wears off the battle will likely be over. Calm emotions, suggestion, fear, etc are all powerful ways to influence combat and non-combat situations without dealing damage. Of course, sleep should be on the list as well.

This is very similar to my Feylock, who is now 7th level. He does next to no damage in combat, and that's ok when you've got 2 barbarians, a monk, a paladin and a bard from the glory college.
Minor illusion is great for distracting low level enemies. Charm person is great, but a person who realizes they've been charmed won't like you. Faerie fire is a great support spell.
There's lots of support invocations, and while you will need Eldritch blast, you can flavor it with things like repelling blast that make it more defensive than say, agonizing blast.

Remember to take the Invocation Mask of Many Faces and use it before you try to charm anyone. That way they'll be angry at the person you look like instead of you.

Minor illusion and prestidigitation are good cantrips. For spells, I would say charm person and faerie fire.
