Placing down AOE's like Hunger of Hadar and Sickening Radiance, and then yoinking people into them with repelling blast and grasp of Hadar.
If you want to move away from Eldritch Blast, than there is always the Devil's Sight + Darkness combo. Very powerful on a melee warlock, especially one with a polearm.
I haven't tried this yet, but another strategy is using summons. Dance Macabre and the UA summoning spells can quickly give you powerful allies, if you aren't inclined to join the fight yourself.
I use my leveled spells very carefully. and I put a lot of effort into being creative with my cantrips. Minor Illusion can make sounds, someone in a crowd shouting “It’s the City Watch” is very effective at pausing combat for a round to give the party a chance to regroup for example.
I hate devils sight darkness combo. It doesn't help your party, and it just gets boring. I like misty step, aoe spells etc. Genie patron is fun. Run up to them, cast spell, misty step away. Or have your friends/familiar carry you in your vessel, jump out, aoe down, misty step away. Then you can spam eldritch blast, or use minor illusion to create a fake wall. Of course it will eventually be found out, but who cares.

I would use this, but misty-stepping around drains spell slots fast.

A fool pulls the leaves. A brute chops the trunk. A sage digs the roots.
Repelling Eldritch blast works very well. ESPECIALLY if you go full cheese:
1) Repelling Edlritch Blast (with Agonizing for extra power)
2) War Caster, because you are a caster.
3) Pole Arm Mastery (with a quarter staff works, but a Hexblade Proficiency with glaive works too)
Now for the CHEESE!
4) The AoO from Pole Arm Mastery when a fighter approaches 10 ft and use War Caster to hit him with a Repelling Eldritch Blast rather than the Pole Arm.
The poor sucker never gets into range. You hit him when he is 10ft away and push him back out of range.
Legal, but totally cheesy to use your Pole Arm AoO with the Eldritch Blast.

Do not be surprised if your DM says no.
That is a vicious combo. Bonus points if you have Lance of Lethargy, that reduces the targets movement speed even more.
Aside of Spamming Eldritch Blast With Agonizing Blast - perfectly legit - what other combat tactics have you all found to work with your warlocks?
