Can someone explain to me why Bestow Curse isn't a warlock spell? I mean, they can take Remove Curse for gods' sake. Sorry if there's already a thread for this, I didn't see it.
I doubt there is a good reason. IMO it /should/ be a warlock spell.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
Warlocks have access to bestow curse through the Sign of Ill Omen Invocation. This Invocation limits the use of the spell to once per long rest, regardless of slot count.
The intent seems to be that Wizards considers the spell too powerful for warlocks to cast freely, but that it fits too well to deny them altogether. As it consumes a precious Invocation slot, one has to really need it. Even then, Sign of Ill Omen is a deceptively powerful invocation, especially for Pact of the Chain warlocks who can cast the spell via an invisible familiar This is likely why the spell is restricted - normal Blade or Tome warlocks are one thing, but a flying invisible sprite or imp delivering concentration-less Bestow Curse without even having to break invisibility (the familiar is releasing your spell, not casting a spell of its own, and thus does not perform any of the actions that break its invisibility) multiple times per fight is potentially abusive.
A DM can consider waiving the "once per long rest" limitation for Sign of Ill Omen, but this does mean the warlock will have access to exceptionally powerful debuff capabilities. Do so with caution.

In my opinion, it’s because using 5th level Pact magic slots for an 8 hour, no concentration effect is likely to inspire abuse.
While I get what you mean, there's not really much difference between that and a wizard casting it with all of their spell slots.
Sure there is no concentration at 5th level slot but is it that much more powerful than Hold Person on 5 people?
Granted Hold Person is humanoids only.

That is a valid point, I don't argue that. It's still a tad annoying is all. Though that is more of a fair reason than the previous argument.
