I'm running a celestial warlock aasimar in the current session I'm in. I'm debating taking a level or two in cleric for two reasons:
1.) Clerics get some n a s t y spells. Plus I've kinda become the party healer since our paladin lives in Australia and isn't around much.
2.) My character looks up to Cam Buckland (yes, our campaign is set in the world of High Rollers), who's a cleric, so for story reasons it'd make sense.
What are your scores right now? One thing to consider to is going into Divine Soul Sorcerer. It still has access to all Cleric spells, but they will scale off of Charisma instead of Wisdom.
Going Cleric can get you some good armor proficiencies, though. It depends on what your goals are.
Personally, I would NEVER add cleric if the intent is to provide more healing.
Healing largely sucks in 5E. You can't waste actions healing during combat and keep up with the pace of damage that will be dealt to your party. Triage is the name of the game in 5E. Getting people back on their feet when they are down, or healing between battles.
Celestial Aasimar Warlock is an OUTSTANDING healer. They have a poor man's Lay on Hands/Healing Hands (if Protector) and of course, their phenomenal healing light. I think you will be disappointed if you are a 5/2 'Warlic' in the middle of a battle and you took a couple of levels of cleric just to toss around some full action cure light wounds, where instead you could be dropping a wall of fire on your enemies and bonus action healing light for as much as 4d6, twice over the next two rounds.
Lastly, the warlock has much better 'nasty' spells, especially if you are not missing them by multiclassing.

Not only do divine soul sorcerers get access to the clear spell list, they also get meta-magic which can be far more helpful in the long run.
I may actually end up sticking with Warlock after looking at this. For the record, my current scores are as follows:
So thinking about it my wisdom isn't high enough to make going into cleric worth it lol
"Ground control to Major Tom..."
It isn't high enough to multiclass into Cleric anyway.
Ah, I see. Thank you all for your help.
