i would like to ask advice on how best to divorce the chronurgy wizard from the critical role muck

if i say something inflammatory the intention is not to trigger an emotional response and the fact that it does so is purely accidental and I sincerely apologise if it does
I mean, if you actually want an answer then you shouldn't be so combative in describing it as "muck", especially when you're literally asking how to use exclusively Critical Role content! 😝
The Chronurgy Wizard and the associated Dunamancy spells are Critical Role content; the only way to separate them from other Critical Role content is to only purchase the content that you want (the sub-class and the spells) and then ignore the free content that the Critical Role option also comes with (the Blood Hunter class, possibly also Way of the Cobalt Soul Monk sub-class?).
To use the content you want you must enable the Critical Role content option, there's no way around that unless you buy it, and then copy only the parts that you want into homebrew, which would be a lot of work as you'd need to copy all of the spells as well. But this would allow you to only unlock the parts you want by enabling the Homebrew option instead.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
I thought he just phrased it poorly and was asking how to intergrate it into his game without the critical role stuff
npc factory is correct on this I did indeed phrase it poorly
