If I have a character who has multiclassed either into wizard or from wizard to another spellcasting class and that class shares spells on the wizard spell list, can I record those spells into my wizard spellbook too? Would I still have to learn it through a spellscroll or another way to record it in my wizard spellbook instead? I don't know if that is covered anywhere in any of the rulebooks. If it is, I can't seem to find it. Wizards, I think, are the most complicated class when i comes to spellcasting and even more so when multiclassing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Not sure but I'd like to hear the answer. It's tricky because a druid, sorcerer, artificer, ranger, and wizard could read a scroll of absorb elements, so it's cross class.
Only wizard spells are recorded in the wizards spellbook. If the spell appears in both spell lists, then it would go into the spellbook if you learnt it with wizard levels. If you already had it learnt (multiclassing into wizard) or will learn it (multiclassing from wizard) then it wouldn't go in the spellbook, as you got that spell from another source.

^^ this.
Your sorcerer spells for example are not wizard spells and cannot be prepared as wizard spells. You have to learn them as wizard spells, and then they can be copied into your spellbook. But if you know them as sorcerer spells, there's very little reason to worry about it.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
I'd use the rules for recovering a lost spellbook or copying spells you already know.
It is cheaper and easier because you already know the spell.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
