I have a lvl 14 war mage and I want to build a tower. I also have a Dao genie warlock in the group with stone wall spell. Galders tower takes too long so my thought is a 20 by 20 tower going up 4 stories.
So I figure double paneled stone walls from the warlock then stone shaping from the wizard. I figure it would take Wall of Stone and Stone Shape
2 castings of stone wall for double panel walls and one panel floor so that would be 20 panels per floor
The double-walls to bring their thickness to 1ft, will take 64 wall segments to stack them 4-levels high (40ft, which is enough to fit the 4 floors with plenty of head room and space for the thickness of the floors.
The four floors + the ceiling will take 40 wall segments to have 1ft thick floors + an additional segment for each to create the pillars and arches needed to support them.
Another 8 wall segments to create the walls and material for the stairs for the four levels.
And various Stone Shapes to create doors, windows, and fine details like the stairs.
That's 112 total wall segments, which is 12 castings of Wall of Stone.
It takes 10-minutes of concentration to make each spell permanent, so that's 2 hours of concentration. A L14 Warlock has 3-spell slots per short rest, meaning 4 short rests will have to be taken to regain spell slots. That brings the total time to 6 hours to create all of the stone for the tower. and while this is being done, the Wizard would be using Stone Shape to create the necessary doors, windows, and stairs, maybe even battlements for the top.
A full, permanent (though unfurnished) 4-story tower with battlements in 6 hours is a really impressive feat, even for heroes of the realm.

4 or so stone shape for doors windows stairs etc
Thoughts?
If I've done the math right:
