When a wizard adds a spell into their spellbook, the cost and time involved to scribe is halved if the spell in question is in the school of their chosen Arcane Tradition. Does that hold true if the wizard is scribing a scroll? That is, would say an Illusionist be able to scribe a scroll of Major Image cheaper because it's in their school of specialization as opposed to an Abjuration wizard scribing the same?
I think that would come under creating a magical item the cost and time would not change.
I will second this because, "Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy an [Insert School] spell into your spellbook is halved."
It does specifically state into their Spellbook for use of this feature. If they meant for it to be transcribed anywhere I reckon it wouldn't have been as specific in that regard. There may be a feature like that somewhere, I'm not 100% familiar with Wizard's, and a DM may wave that portion if they feel like it.
