Supernatural Gift (Blessing)

This Blessing appears as a tattoo of a constellation of stars.  You can take a Magic action to summon a celestial primeval owlbear that manifests in an unoccupied space you can see within 30 feet.  The creature disappears when it drops to 0 Hit Points or at the start of your next turn.

The creature is an ally to you and your allies. In combat, the creature shares your Initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours.  It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its movement to avoid danger.

The creature can’t be summoned again until you finish a Long Rest.

Uthrun Lore

In order to prove ourselves to the Kintru tribe and earn their trust, the party took a psychedelic journey to the “realm of the stars” where we were tested in battle by a celestial primeval owlbear.  The owlbear is the sacred totem creature of the Kintru tribe, and its constellation is known among all the barbarian tribes of the Smoldering Vale.  After our victory we were briefly reunited with loved ones who’ve died, and before our consciousness returned to our bodies Maegris wife, Grella, presented us with gifts.  The one I chose was a celestial owlbear claw.  I opened my eyes and looked down to see empty hands, but on my shoulder there was now a tattoo of the owlbear constellation.
