Weapon (greatsword), artifact (requires attunement by a Ranger)

The blade is long and subtle in its curvature, forged of dusk-steel that drinks the light and returns it as a muted silver-blue shimmer. Faint spirals of lacquered charcoal wrap the hilt, warm to the touch, as though holding the memory of every hand that once carried it. When drawn, a soft resonance hums through the air, neither song nor threat, but something like a warning layered beneath a prayer.

Those who face its edge swear the world narrows to a single breath. Those who fall to it rarely hear the second.

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. Akirou’s Quiet Reproach has the Reach property.

If you are attuned to Akirou’s Quiet Reproach, you gain the following benefits:

Blade of the Ephemeral: Whenever you attack with Akirou's Quiet Reproach, you can use your Wisdom modifier for the attack and damage rolls instead of using Strength.

Motion of the Wanderer: Whenever you hit a creature with this weapon, you gain 1 stack of Tempo if that creature is affected by your Hunter’s Mark. Each stack of Tempo grants +1 thunder damage on a hit with this weapon, to a maximum benefit of 10 stacks. If the target of the attack is the creature marked by your Hunter’s Mark, this bonus thunder damage is doubled.

Path of the Unbroken Step: When you mark a creature with your Hunter’s Mark, you may expend 2 stacks of Tempo to teleport to an unoccupied space within 30 feet of that creature. If you are within reach of the target after teleporting, you may make one weapon attack against it at as a part of this feature.

Blessing of the Hunter: While you are attuned to this blade, you can channel your accumulated momentum into a creature bound to you by magic. As a bonus action, you may expend 3 stacks of Tempo to empower one creature you have summoned or conjured with a spell (such as Find Familiar, Find Steed, and spells of the summon or conjure families.). The chosen creature must be within 60 feet of you. Until the start of your next turn, the empowered creature gains the following benefits:
- Guarded by Spirits. Protective spirits surround the creature, increasing its Armor Class by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus.
- Shared Hunt. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon or spell attack, the empowered creature can make one attack against the same target.
Relentless Pursuit. The creature ignores difficult terrain and does not provoke opportunity attacks.

You can empower only one creature at a time with this feature.

Stance of Honour: At the start of your turn (no action required), you may expend 5 stacks of Tempo to enter the Stance of Honour, a state of perfect motion and resolve that lasts until the start of your next turn. While in this stance, you gain the following benefits:
- Edge Without Hesitation. Your attacks with this weapon deal an additional 2d10 damage.
- Step That Does Not Falter. You gain a special additional bonus action, which can be used only to Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object.
- Victory Sustains the Form. If you reduce a creature to 0 hit points while in this stance, your heightened focus carries forward, granting you one additional reaction until the start of your next turn.

All Tempo stacks last for 1 minute. If you enter initiative, you lose all Tempo stacks.
