Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement)

A single edged, slightly curved blade with a small, round handguard. The handle appears wrapped in worn gold that merges with the handguard and continues up around the blade like ribbons, though this doesn't seem to impede the cutting ability of the blade. Celestial energy flows weakly but freely through the gold, dealing an extra 2d8 radiant damage per hit, and 1d6 radiant damage to the wielder. While attuned to this weapon, you also know Celestial in addition to any other language(s) you know.

This weapon has the finesse property.

You have a +1 to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Suncatcher. As a reaction, you can parry a single incoming attack by adding your Dexterity modifier to your AC, potentially causing the hit to miss. To do this, you must not be Incapacitated, and able to see the attacker. If this parry causes the attack to miss, you gain one charge of Suncatcher. The Crucible Blade can hold up to 6 charges of Suncatcher, and all charges are lost within an hour of being gained. You can expend one charge of Suncatcher as a free action to gain another reaction that can only be used to make an extra parry, up to a number of times equal to your number of attacks per attack action per round.

Sunbreaker. When you have two or more charges of Suncatcher, you can expend charges to deal extra radiant damage to a creature you hit with the Crucible Blade. For each charge of Suncatcher expended, the target creature takes an extra 1d8 radiant damage.

Cursed. This weapon is cursed. When you join initiative, roll a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18). On a failure, the first time you become bloodied during combat, the curse of the Crucible Blade transforms you into a Crucible Beast, and similarly to the Polymorph spell, you lose access to all class features and are limited to the statblock of the assumed form. On a successful save, you can choose when/if you enter the form. The transformation lasts for one minute, or until you drop to 0 hit points or die. In addition, your creature type becomes Monstrosity along with any other creature type(s) you have.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.

Notes: Weapon Property: Finesse, Weapon Property: Versatile, Bonus: Magic, Language: Celestial, Damage: Radiant, Versatile, Sap
