Weapon (whip), legendary (requires attunement by a Blood Hunter)

This incredibly long whip is made from pitch-black material with a silver hilt. It is incredibly sharp and has a barbed end. The handle is etched with faint Elvish runes.

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls when using this weapon.

Protection of the Punisher. While you are attuned to this item, you have resistance to psychic damage.

Maker of Pain. When you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon, the creature takes an extra 1d8 psychic damage. If the target is a humanoid, it takes an additional 1d8 psychic damage (for a total of 2d8).

Fear of the Punisher. When you hit a humanoid creature with an attack using this weapon, they must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, they are frightened of you until the end of their next turn.

Punisher's Grasp. When you hit a creature with this whip, you can choose to pull them toward you. If you choose to pull them, they must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be pulled 5 feet toward you.

Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
