Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a monk.)
These hand wraps are two sets of black cloths perpetually stained with blood, engraved with ancient Shadar-Kai Runes on the knuckles. As one of the Echo's of Iadasor, this artifact is coveted by many a monk looking to further their mastery over martial arts.
Dormant
When the hand wraps reaches an awakened state, it gains the following properties:
- You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with your unarmed strikes.
- On a hit, you can use your reaction regain a number of hit points equal to your full Ki points. You cannot use this ability again until you complete a short or long rest.
Awakened
When the hand wraps reach an awakened state, it gains the following properties:
- You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with your unarmed strikes.
- As an action, you can cast false life once per short rest. Additionally, you can use an action and use the hand wraps to cast death ward once per long rest.
Exalted
When the hand wraps reaches an awakened state, it gains the following properties:
- You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with your unarmed strikes.
- When the wielder hits with an unarmed strike, they can choose to make the attack a Ravenous Strike. The target takes an additional 6d6 necrotic damage, and the wielder regains hit points equal to the additional necrotic damage dealt. They cannot use this ability again until they complete a short or long rest.
