Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

A void Stone is a fragment of a black star.
Looking into it, a person will see its mind wonders in the night sky as it sees stars and the emptyness of space.
A person can lose its mind if it looks too long into the void stone.
This piece of transparent black rock looks like obsidian, it is not, but is often mistaken for it.

History
This particular one holds the prison to a dwarven woman who named Dakkobella Blackthanes. She was the
daughter of a noble who ran around the country to make alliances for the sake of the country. Dakkobella
one day on her travels with her father, she found the stone laying ont he floor. Once she peeked inside, she
saw the universe as it really was. the legend says that once she found that stone, she was never the same.
They say she was hearing voices from the far realms and those voices, were telling her the truths of this
world. They also say she had gone insane from looking into that cursed stone.

After a few months, Dakkobella had this blindness to her. her eyes were entirely black and emitting some
sort of smoke. While they say she was blind, she could see more then anyone else. She even knew secrets
and people she had never met before. She created a cult that she called "the disciples of true speech".
The whole cult was destroyed and dakkobella was running away. She vanished and never was seen again.

Some says that Dakkobella can make any people do whatever she wants by just saying their names.
they also say she could shape the world and that was the power the stone gave to its wearer.
But whatever the legend says, finding that stone means bad things will happen.

Trial of the Void (Curse)
The person wearing the stone slowly becomes a Nightwalker.
- Disadvantage on saving throws versus spells
- Everytime a user uses the summon ability by saying the true name of Bonnyl Branma in True Speech or calls on Commune with Dakkobella Blackthane. That user must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or gain 1 charge of Void Energy. The following table show the different effects each charges has on the person.
1 Charge, The wielder emits black smokes from its body and gains advantage on stealth check in dim light or darkness. The wielder starts hearing a voice from the far realms.
2 Charge, The wielder skin turns black. The wiedler automatically fails saving throws versus illusions that targets him. The wielder becomes convinced that the voice he hear is always right. The creature also gains the annihilating aura of the nightwalker, but at a 10ft range instead.
3 Charge, The wielder grows 3 times in size, its fingers gets elongated. The wielder becomes a Nightwalker under the influence of the Void Stone. Its only job is to protect the void stone at any cost.

Regardless of how many faillures or success the person has, once it reaches 3 wins or loses, Dakkobella Blackthane learns the true name of the wielder. Once that person dies near the stone. Its person is absorbed into the void stone along with everything it possesses and serves blackthane and her master in their realm. If the wielder reaches three successes before three charges are obtained. They become an adept of the Void and are no longer able to gain Charges and this curse is no longer active. Charges are lost every 24 hours after becoming an Adept.

Adept of the Void
- The adepts True Sight goes up to 120 feet, he is still blind beyond that range.
- The adept is under the influence of Dakkobella Blackthane and thus has Disadvantage against illusions that targets him.
- The adept also gains the ability to cast all illusion spells as if they were prepared or known, using their spell slots.
- If the Adept of the void dies during combat near the Void Stone. The adept body becomes a recipient to the star essence of dakkobella blackthanes. Her essence enters the body and transforms it into a powerful vessel of her power. The adept of the void becomes "Immortal of the truth" and effectively starts its journey toward godhood.

Immortal of the truth
- Advantage on all saving throws.
- Proficiency bonus gets +1 (if it is 5, it becomes 6, if it is 6 it becomes 7, etc...)
- User gains 1 spell slots for every level of spells he has. (if he has 4 level 1 spell slots, he now has 5. If he has 3 spell slots of level 2, he now has 4. etc...)
- The user doesn't age anymore and will forever stay in the current form it has.
- The user is immune to anything that could kill him, except decapitation. He can still lose consciousness, but will never gain any death saves faillures.
- The user doesn't need to eat, sleep or breath.
- The user can grant, any believer that asks for his powers, his own abilities. (Spellcasting, Divine Smites, Rages, Invocations). For this to be able to happen the creature must be openly believing into this immortal and the believer must be truthful about his belief. If by any chance, the immortal doesn't trust in the believers words, he can simply refuse to give his powers. A believer can only gain 1 feature per level it has. at the choice of the user.

Left to the DM... at this point the creature is on its way to godhood and should start progressing more and more as people start believing to him and asking him to give powers. the more growth he gets, the more powerfull he should get. If the DM wants to go into Epic levels, I suggest the user can go up to 20 level and then go up to 30 and gain other classes or more ability score improvements.
