About International Day of Play
The mission of International Day of Play (IDOP) is to emphasize the importance of play for children in their social and academic development and create opportunities for safe and accessible places to play for all. June 11 has been recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of Play and to celebrate the universal right to play and accelerate global action to protect, promote, and prioritize opportunities to play.
